Machine Elves or DMT Elves Explained

DMT elves

In the realm of psychedelic experiences, few substances are more powerful than DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine). Often referred to as the “Spirit Molecule” or “God Molecule.” DMT has sparked intrigue within the scientific community due to its reported ability to induce almost religious encounters. Users have witnessed otherworldly, yet similar creatures on DMT journeys, accessing depths of their consciousness. This post delves into the intriguing world of DMT, and it’s effects on the human mind. And specifically, the reported common experience of interactions with DMT entities such as self-transforming DMT Elves.

What is DMT?

DMT also known as “Fantasia”, is a naturally occurring compound found in various plants, animals and even in human beings. It is renowned for its highly potent psychoactive properties. It has similar properties to its’ psychedelic cousins like magic mushrooms, and LSD. However this molecule is responsible for vivid and intense hallucinogenic experiences, that are almost instantaneous. Throwing the participant into a psychedelic rocket ship, and blasting them into DMT space.

Discovered in the West in the mid-20th century the psychedelic drug DMT was first reported being used in the Western world by Hungarian chemist Stephen Szara. The Doctor extracted the active chemicals from the Mimosa Hostilis plant and administered it to himself. DMT’s effects have since captured the attention of artists, researchers, psychonauts, and philosophers wanting to explore the landscapes of the mind.

The Third Eye

The pineal gland, a tiny organ in the human brain has the proven ability to control the serotonin receptors with the release of certain chemicals like melatonin in the body. There is a theory that this gland or “third eye” can also produce DMT naturally, and that infants have easier access to this ability than adults.

In the 90s Dr. Rick Strassman, a clinical research psychiatrist, became the first person in the United States to conduct clinical DMT trials on human subjects. He shot a documentary summarising his scientific findings called “DMT: The Spirit Module.” The term refers to the recounts that most participants have which is comparable to a profound religious experience. This research was conducted at the University of New Mexico and focused on the ability of DMT to release melatonin. The studies also focused on the participants familiar reports of DMT elves in a geometric psychedelic landscape. Psychiatrist Rick Strassman’s research has been touted as the catalyst for the “Psychedelic Renaissance.” Dr Strassman pioneered the use of an intravenous feed to gradually feed the participants DMT, resulting in a longer and more controlled timeframe in the psychedelic state.

“When our individual life force enters our fetal body, the moment in which we become truly human, it passes through the pineal and triggers the first primordial flood of DMT. Later, at birth, the pineal releases more DMT. As we die, the life-force leaves the body through the pineal gland, releasing another flood of this psychedelic spirit molecule.”

How Long Does a DMT Trip Last?

One of the remarkable aspects of DMT is the fast onset of its effects, intense psychedelic experience, and short duration, commonly known as the “businessman’s trip.” While the actual trip can vary among individuals, a typical DMT experience lasts only around 10 to 30 minutes. However, within this compressed timeframe, users often report encountering an array of vivid experiences that can feel like hours in their perception.

DMT is typically smoked from a vape or consumed orally in brews like ayahuasca. In the span of mere moments after ingestion or inhalation, users are propelled from the familiar shores of reality into the uncharted waters of a profoundly altered DMT state. This quantum leap into an alternate realm is often accompanied by an explosion of colors, patterns, auditory hallucinations and sensations that cascade like a symphony of the senses. Purportedly leaving participants awestruck by the swiftness with which their surroundings transform. It can be difficult to integrate lessons that have been learnt when the trip is so brief and chaotic. There are currently studies being done to lengthen the time in the psychedelic state called DMTX.

Encounters with Psychedelic Beings: DMT Elves

A common theme among DMT users is the reported interaction with DMT beings, commonly referred to as “DMT machine elves,” “DMT elves,” or “self-transforming elf machines.” These beings are described as small, intricate, geometrically complex entities. They communicate in a manner beyond understood human known words. It has been said that it is difficult to pinpoint the exact physical traits of the elves as they are constantly morphing in front of the viewer.

These entities inhabit a realm that exists beyond ordinary reality, a dimension accessible only through DMT use. Users have speculated that these sentient beings could be aliens, spirits, or creatures from a parallel dimension. They have been described as childlike pranksters and tales of DMT often include elves playing tricks on the unwitting psychonaut.

The elves appear to want to tell the traveller something, but the message is often unclear, purportedly the communication is more of a visual of words rather than an audio language. The respondents overwhelmingly have said that they made positive life changes post the journey, influenced by lessons learnt on the trip.

Entering The DMT Realm: A Psychedelic Bungee Jump

The DMT world, described as a realm of unparalleled complexity or “psychedelic hyperspace.” Geometric shapes, and intricate repetitive patterns are said to be hallmarks of the elf universe. With experiences often resembling the fantastical unfolding imagery of Fabergé eggs. It has been noted that the deeper the DMT dive, the more complex the geometry becomes.

“To smoke DMT is like a drive by shooting of psychedelics”
― James Kent

The Qualia Research Institute (QRI) is an organization whose purpose is the scientific exploration of consciousness. With a specific focus on the effects of psychedelic substances like DMT on human perception and cognition.

The exploration of the DMT experience, as conceptualized by the QRI, can be broken down into six distinct stages. Each stage offering a unique window into the profound and surreal dimensions of consciousness:

Prelude to Hyperspace:

This initial stage sets the foundation for the journey ahead. As the DMT takes effect, individuals often experience a surge of intense visual and sensory stimulation. Geometric patterns begin to emerge, reminiscent of chrysanthemum flowers, which serve as a portal into the more complex realms of consciousness.

Chrysanthemum Blossoms:

At this point, the visual landscape transforms into a tapestry of intricate and pulsating geometric patterns. These patterns, resembling the layered petals of chrysanthemum flowers, dazzle with vibrant colors and fluid movements. This stage can be likened to a mesmerizing introduction to the psychedelic hyperspace that awaits.

The Waiting Room:

Transitioning further, the experience shifts to what has been termed the “waiting room.” In this stage, individuals might encounter a variety of entities or beings that appear as abstract geometric forms, sentient entities, or even familiar figures from one’s life. The waiting room serves as an intermediary space, a threshold between ordinary reality and the more profound layers of the DMT realm.

The Breakthrough:

The breakthrough is the pinnacle of the DMT experience, where the boundaries of self and reality dissolve. Here, individuals often report transcending their physical bodies and entering an alternate universe of astonishing complexity. The geometry becomes even more intricate, encompassing vast landscapes of vibrant colors, and intricate patterns. Entities that communicate profound insights and emotions.

The Mandala of Entities:

Within this stage, the complexity of the geometry reaches new heights. The visual space is filled with what are often described as “machine DMT elves,” or “jeweled self-dribbling basketballs.” These entities are characterized by their highly intricate and dynamic geometric forms, exuding a sense of consciousness, purpose, and interconnectedness.

Reintegration and Return:

As the DMT experience begins to wane, individuals move toward reintegration with their physical bodies and ordinary reality. This stage can be marked by reflections on the profound insights and experiences gained during the journey. The intricate geometry gradually fades, leaving behind a sense of awe and wonder. Along with a lasting impact on the individual’s perspective and understanding of consciousness.

Psychedelic Map Makers

This pursuit of understanding and mapping this inner world has led to the emergence of a unique subgroup of psychonauts known as “cosmic cartographers.” The term aptly captures the essence of their role in the psychedelic community. Similar to explorers charting uncharted territories on a map, cosmic cartographers strive to navigate the uncharted territories of the human mind while under the influence of DMT. Their goal is to document and describe the layers, dimensions, and features of the DMT experience, as reported by those who have ventured into this surreal landscape.

The work of cosmic cartographers is far from complete, given the profound and often elusive nature of the DMT experience. They collaborate through sharing personal narratives, artistic representations, and conceptual frameworks in attempt to encapsulate the realms they traverse. The cosmic cartographers offer a glimpse into the depths of the human psyche and provide a platform for the contemplation of the mysteries that lie beyond the boundaries of ordinary perception.

The Influence of Terence McKenna

Late Terence McKenna, a philosopher and advocate of psychedelic exploration, who explored the profound influence of DMT on human psychology. He often spoke of DMT elves that populated the psychedelic world. Suggesting that these encounters held the key to unlocking the mysteries of human consciousness. In the 70’s Terence and his brother travelled to the Amazon to experience and learn about DMT. McKenna was shocked to discover that psychedelic experiences that they had incurred echoed many of the same meetings with fractal elves as the shamans. He hypothesized that a possible explanation for the entities experienced in the DMT trip, was that these little people were residents of a psychedelic field of conscious. A world accessible only by psychedelics or deep states of transformative meditation.

“Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong.”
― Philosopher Terence McKenna

The Indigenous Connection

DMT is often one of the main active ingredients used in ayahuasca ceremonies. This natural compound has woven itself into the cultural fabric of indigenous peoples societies and their spiritual practices. Ethnobotanists Terence McKenna and Dennis McKenna ventured into the realm of DMT containing plants in the hands of indigenous communities. This journey often is traced to the Amazon basin. The prevalence of this compound in the rituals of these cultures sparks inquiries into its potential as a bridge to the spiritual realm and an enhancer of profound spiritual encounters.

In the heart of the Amazon, tribal shamans don the mantle of guides on transformative voyages through the utilization of DMT. These journeys are the heartbeat of sacred ceremonies, where wisdom passed down through generations roots the spiritual practices in a deep indigenous heritage. Through these rituals, participants are afforded glimpses into states of consciousness that uncover concealed dimensions of existence.

The guidance of these shamans through indigenous ceremonies blurs the line between the tangible and the ethereal. This rituals foster connections with ancestral spirits, higher cosmic forces, and nature. Within these rituals, DMT assumes it’s role as a potent conduit. The Psychedelic allows the psychonaut to plumb the depths of their own psyche, potentially triggering life-changing experiences. In this union of DMT and indigenous practices, a profound ecology emerges. Psychedelic explorations and reverence for enduring wisdom, meld seamlessly within the lush expanse of the Amazon rainforest.

In Conclusion..

The DMT experience, featuring encounters with machine elves, geometric patterns, and otherworldly entities, stands as a powerful facet of the psychedelic realm. From the trippy tales from psychonauts to the scientific studies seeking to unravel its cause and effect. DMT’s influence on human perception, consciousness, and understanding of reality remains an ongoing exploration. As research continues and the allure of the DMT realm persists, this remarkable compound is likely to take a more prominent role in both medical and scientific studies.
